How stylish, comfortable and harmonious a room looks is not only due to the furnishings but also depends heavily on the type of lighting used. Basically, two essential lighting concepts can be distinguished from each other.
The direct lighting
The direct lighting is usually implemented with LED spotlights or spots, in which case the bulbs are visible as such and the light is emitted directly into the room or on the wall. This has the advantage that the light can be used in a very targeted manner, for example to enhance the structure of a stone wall or highlight selected accessories with direct lighting.
The indirect lighting
In the indirect lighting of the ceiling, however, are the bulbs (usually LED Stripes) behind a corresponding veneer. As a result, the light of the LED Stripes is not emitted directly into the room, but indirectly upwards to the ceiling. However, the lamps used are not visible at any time and it creates a warm, pleasant indirect light, which ensures a stylish and comfortable atmosphere in the respective living spaces. You will find a few possibilities and examples of how such a combination of direct and indirect lighting of walls and ceilings can be seen in the following pictures or discover many other application examples in the BENDU gallery.
